Icebreaker- Beach Ball Tell All

This icebreaker is a great warm-up for groups that have had little or no interaction with each other.  It is low energy and allows members to have their own personal space and not have to do anything too crazy.

How to play:

1. Before the group arrives, you’ll need to buy a beach ball and write questions all over it in permanent marker.  Make sure your questions are open-ended and not overly personal.  This does take some time, but your beach ball will be able to be re-used in the future.

   Question Examples:

What is your favorite food and why?

What is the farthest you’ve travelled from home, and what for?

Are you a morning or evening person?  Why?

What is one trait of a good leader?

2. Have everyone stand in a circle and toss the beach ball to someone.  They must answer the question they find closest to their right thumb.  After they’ve answered the question, they pass it to someone else.

3.  Continue until everyone has had a chance to answer a question, or until it is time to move on to a new activity.
